Privacy Policy

This page explains what data this site (mohitdev.tech) collects when you use it, why, and what you can do about it. I've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate — if anything is unclear, email me at mohit.4sure@gmail.com.

1. What I collect

Depending on how you use the site, the following data may be stored:

  • Contact form submissions — name, email, subject, message, and any project details (budget, timeline, service) you choose to share.
  • Support tickets — name, email, subject, priority, and your messages, so I can respond and you can track the ticket's status.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — your email address (and name, if given), used to send occasional updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Testimonials — name, role, company, and message, if you submit one through the public testimonial form. Submissions are reviewed before publishing.
  • Basic analytics — page path, referrer, browser user-agent, and a one-way hash of your IP address (not the raw IP) for pages you visit, so I can see which pages get traffic. I also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies — see Section 4.

2. How I use it

  • To reply to your message, ticket, or inquiry.
  • To send the newsletter, if you subscribed to it.
  • To understand which pages and content are useful, so I can improve the site.
  • To prevent abuse — submission forms are rate-limited per IP address to stop spam.

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Where it's stored

Site data is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database (Neon). Emails are sent through a standard SMTP provider. The site itself is deployed on Vercel. None of these providers have access to your data beyond what's required to operate the service.

4. Cookies & analytics

This site uses:

  • A session cookie for admin login (only relevant to me, the site owner).
  • Google Analytics, which may set its own cookies to measure traffic. You can opt out using browser settings or extensions like Google's Analytics opt-out.

5. Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime via the link in any email.
  • Request deletion of your contact/ticket/testimonial data by emailing mohit.4sure@gmail.com — I'll remove it within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Ask what's stored about you by emailing the same address.

6. Third-party links

The site links out to third-party services (GitHub, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, client project links). Once you leave mohitdev.tech, their own privacy policies apply — I have no control over how they handle your data.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, I'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
